DAY 2 TBILISI
A free day in Tbilisi. You can explore this vibrant capital easily by foot on your own. Wonder in the old districts of the city which are structured like terraces, as well as take a walk in the narrow streets to enjoy colorful houses, patterned balconies and wonderful samples of modern architecture. Start your walk from Metekhi church (13th century) facing the magnificent views over old Tbilisi. A stroll along winding little streets takes you to the main sights of the city. Afterwards enjoy the panoramic views of the whole town and through the ancient Narikala fortress (4th century). And why not take a bath in the historical domed sulphur bath area- connected with the name of our city. Finally the Golden Fund of the historical museum will prove the fact that Georgia is truly the land of the Golden Fleece (museum is closed on Mondays). Overnight at a hotel in Tbilisi.DAY 3 Tbilisi-David Gareja-Telavi
In the morning we drive to David Gareja cave complex (6th century) located in a stark, semi-desert landscape. After seeing Lavra Monastery we walk up for about 50 minutes on a steep uphill to Udabno Monastery to enjoy its wonderful painted caves and dramatic views across to Azerbaijan. Afterwards we drive to Telavi – administrative centre of Kakheti region. Overnight in Telavi.Day 4 Telavi-Omalo
Today we drive to Tusheti - a region with beautiful nature, medieval defensive and residential towers and unusual traditions. We follow a winding road that leads us up to the mountains and on the road with beautiful views of the deep canyons, waterfalls and meadows. At the pass Abano we reach the altitude of 3000 m and continue to the village Omalo. After lunch we start exploring in Tusheti. We walk to the top Omalo - Keselo and visit mascara diagram towers go. When you visit the Ethnographic Museum in Keselo we will familiarize ourselves with local traditions that have influenced on the everyday life of this region. From here we also enjoy stunning views of the mountains of the Great Caucasus. Return to Omalo. Dinner and overnight in private guesthouse.DAY 5 Omalo-Shenako-Diklo-Omalo
From Omalo we head towards Shenako village. The village built on the hills enchants all upon its appearance, with its typical Tushetian towers and dwelling places. Off the village, in a flowery meadow, lies a church (19th c.), which we can visit. From here, we continue our journey on foot through the pine woods straddled valley. The road takes us to Diklo village, where only a handful of families live—and only in the summer. From the village, a moss-covered fortress and old Diklo, linked by numerous legends and folk tales, are within sight. After a tour of Diklo, we return to Shenako and and then to Omalo by car.Dinner and overnight at a guesthouse in Omalo with basic facilities.

Day 6 Omalo-Dartlo-Kvavlo-Parsma-Omalo
We leave Omalo for Dartlo by vehicle. Dartlo is without doubt Tusheti’s most remarkable gem. Local towers and houses with balconies built out of slates and wood make up a spectacular architectural ensemble. In the village, you will hear numerous legends and visit an ancient court of law where justice was served in accordance to old traditions. From there we leave for Parsma. In the abandoned village, along with its church and towers, ancient pictograms, which narrate accounts of the birth of the universe, the battle between good and evil and other interesting stories have survived to this day. Later we return to Parsma on foot and set off to Omalo by vehicle.Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse in Omalo. (B/PL/D)
DAY 8 Telavi-Gombori pass-Mtskheta-Stepantsminda
In the morning we visit 6th century Ikalto monastery that was established by one of the Assyrian fathers traveling in Georgia in the 6th century. Then Continue our way via Gombori pass with beautiful landscapes, and then we visit the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia – Mtskheta and see its historical places: Jvari Monastery (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) where the Robe of Christ is buried. Both Jvari and Svetitskhoveli are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Then we will drive up the Georgian military highway. On the way visit Ananuri architectural complex (17th century).The drive is very scenic through high Caucasus Mountains. Overnight in Stepantsminda in a hotel.(B/-/-)
DAY 9 Stepantsminda-Juta-Chaukhebi Mount-Juta-Stepantsminda
In the morning we drive through the spectacular Sno Valley to the village of Juta (2165m). Driving on a narrow road will bring you deeper in the mountains where the exotic small village Juta awaits the travelers. This old village still surprises the visitors with its preserved ancient way of life. Surrounded by the gorgeous mountains it is completely cut off from the whole country during six months. Visiting this village will be truly an unforgettable experience. From Juta we will start a pleasant walk to the foot (2550m) of Mt. Chaukhebi (3842 m) which is continuation of walking in the beautiful nature. We ascend for about half an hour and here one can see the picturesque Mt. Chaukhebi. We continue walking through fascinating nature until the foot of Mt. Chaukhebi and then take the same way back to the village of Juta. Afterwards we drive to Stepantsminda. Overnight at a hotel in Stepantsminda.Distance: 9 km ?? 500m (walking time 4 hours)
DAY 10 Stepantsminda-Gori-Gelati-Kutaisi
In the morning we will drive to visit the town of Gori – the heart of Kartli region. Photo stop near Stalin’s museum. Then, continue to Kutaisi and visit Gelati Cathedral (12th century) – one of the earliest academies in Europe, UNESCO World Heritage site. Dinner and overnight at a family hotel in Kutaisi.DAY 11 Kutaisi-Okatse Canyon-Mestia
In the morning drive to village Gordi and visit the fascinating Okatse canyon. Then continue to Svaneti, the region of the highest mountains and glaciers and the most abiding ancient traditions. En - route visit Enguri power station. Arrival in Mestia. Dinner and overnight in a family hotel in Mestia.DAY 14 Ushguli-Shkhara Glacier-Mestia
We start our morning walk to the foot of Mt. Shkhara. We walk alongside the wonderful Enguri River which will eventually lead us to its origin – the Shkhara Glacier. Afterwards we return to Ushguli and take drive to Mestia. Dinner and overnight at a family hotel in Mestia. Distance 19 km. ??550m (walking time: 5 hours);DAY 16 Batumi
